A few photo's from this week

It's was back to school for Brandon, Taylor and Hamish this week and a new adventure for Hamish as he commenced secondary school and joined Brandon and Taylor at Gleeson.

You just have to love the hair.....he uses more hair product than Taylor and I.

It was a strange feeling waving goodbye from the driveway...I must admit it does make life easier now that Brandon is driving to and from school.

Brandon will have an interesting year juggling life, year 12 and his football.

A few layouts and a blog award.

I seem to have had a productive week managing to complete 5 of this months challenges at chookscraps.

The criteria for this challenge was to use red, white and blue as the dominant colours and I also incorperated 4 different types of chipboard so I could submit it for Ingeborg's blog challenge for this month.

This layout is for one of the sketch's that Kathy created for us to use. I decided to use it as a chance to go and visit places that were special to me in my childhood. The top right hand picture is of my Great Grandfathers house (He used to pick me up from kindy, he had a dog called Patsy whom I adored), next is the senior citizens club where Grampy used to sing (he had an incredible voice), next is a picture of my old kindy which is still a kindy now. The next photo is off a gate as that is all that is left on the ground of the Walford boarding house (Mum and I lived there from when I was 2 til I was 9, mum initially was the nurse and later became the boarding house mistress). The next 3 photos are of Walford junior school and the last photo is of the house across the road where I spent a lot of time, it was here I learnt to ride a 2 wheel bike thanks toUncle John and Aunty Joan there are many happy memories.

This challenge was to use a photo of something typically Australian - I figured there is nothing more typically Australian than Australian rules football.

For this challenge we had to use the stars of the Australian flag as inspiration
S - stamping
T - tearing
A - accent which contains at lest one star
R - rub ons
S - scrunching
Taylor placed her camera on the pool fence and this is just one of the photos that was taken, even though it is blurry I still think it is a great photo, especially of Hamish.
For this challenge we were required to use the beach as inspiration but we could create a page on any topic but it had to include the following elements.
Circle (sun)
Scallops (waves)
Distressing (gritty sand)
I love this photo of Hamish, I love the background, the colours in the flowering plants are just beautiful.

Thanks to the lovely Melissa for giving me this award.
When you recieve this award, you have to mention five things that you love, which are

4. My friends, life would be very boring without them...
