12 Tags of Christmas

This year I thought I would participate in Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas. Above is tag #1, I have had to make a few changes as I do not have all the tools that he has (but I really wish I did).

Two layouts for challenges

This layout is for the challenge over on Ingeborg's blog.

Our cat Milo has a very hard life and has not coped all that well since the kids returned to school she likes to have them around and so as as consequence when Hamish attempted to do his maths homework the other night she decided to use his text book as a pillow and hoped that would put a stop to his homework.

The entry below is for the challenge over at Scrapchallenge international and we were asked to use 4 or more photos and the layout had to be monochromatic. I have used photo's of Hamish that I took last year when he was playing for Norwood under 13's against Glenelg at AAMI staidum. He particularily likes the main photo as he believes he should have been awarded a free kick for hand in the back.

Just reflecting

This time 18 years ago it was just Craig and I, we knew we were about to become 3 but not sure when this event would actually start, I was already 6 days overdue and more than ready to deliver.

This night 18 years ago was the last night that we were two as about this time on February 28th I was admitted to hospital and on March the 1st we became parents for the first time.

Now tomorrow holds a new and exciting challenge for Brandon as he starts his job, I hope he enjoys his first day even though it is a rather early start.

Some recent work and a surprise for hard work

Below are three cards that I have made for challenges over at Chook scraps

And this was the suprise that was for hard work.....Hamish was in the top 10% for boys in academic achievment in year 8 lst year. Gleeson had their academic assembly on Tuesday and I am sure that if there was one for talking he would have got that as well.....not sure where he gets that from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Cyber Crop weekend at Chook Scraps this weekend and so far I have only managed to get one challenge completed today. I was plannign to scrap this evening but forgot the NAB cup was on. Tonight two of Brandon's old Norwood team mates are playing, Jimmi Savage for Greater Western Sydney and Dan Gorringe for Gold Coast and both of these boys also played for the Gullies....Not bad we now have three lads from the Gullies at AFL clubs.

Last but not least in my entry in this months challenge over at Scrappassion International blog.

Hopefully I will get the rest of the challenges completed this week for the Chook scraps CC.

Chook Scraps Cyber Crop layouts

Last weekend was the first cyber crop at Chook scraps for the year and for a change I managed to complete all 4 challenges.

Challenge #1 - required us to include at least 1 handmade flower, use ruffles, a red embellishment and to include a journaling block with some journaling on it.

I decided to use a photo of Taylor and her friend Charlotte and I have used papers from Webster's, they are fast becoming my favourites to use....pity I can't use them on layouts for the boys.

Challenge #2 -required us to use a 2 word or less title, make a reference to ourself, use at least one tag and to use 2 main colours which must make up 75% of the layout.

I went with a footy layout of Hamish's team after the grandfinal win last year. I called them my boys as I was the team manager and I am again this year. Can't wait for the season to start.

Challenge #3 - was a sketch by Sue-Maree.

I found a photo from way back in 2005 and it was one of the last races that Hamish swam, but he knew before he had hit the water that he had won the 8 and under SA water winter championship.

Challenge #4 was a sketch challenge but for a card this time.

She's a P plate driver now

Taylor is rather excited as she passed her VORT this morning and is now a P plate driver and has already been out on her own. Watch out now Brandon as she will be wanting to use the car as well now.

Scrappassion Challenge Blog International

Scrappassion Challenge Blog International have just recently announced their first design team, the DT come from all over the world and I am pleased that my friends Melissa and Ingeborg are both on the team. The challenge for this month is to create a vintage style layout and to use a word that would be a key focus for the year. I have decided to go with the word Power this year as I believe that I have the power to control what is going on with my life.
