Sweet revenge.....many years a go when I was a teenager I had a couple of cousins who would wake me up rather early when I stayed at the farm, well they are both parents now and lucky for one of them who lives in the states and the other one lives close by and she, Sean, Josh and Jazz all came for Christmas brunch. We gave Josh a drum kit and they symbols work really well...lol... and Jazz got a nice quiet toy a pink bike.....There are plently more opportunities to buy here noisey toys...

Christmas 2010
A few photo's from Christmas day....yep much to the family's disgust I insist on having a family photo, it's always a bit hit and miss when you use a timer
This is one of our neighbours houses......I have asked the boys to decorate the outside of our house next year.
My favourite decoration.

Brandon's graduation
Thursday, November 18, 2010
A bit of an update
In October we attended a dinner celebrating the achievement of 25 years service to ETSA, 83 employees including Craig were recognised. A rare photo of Craig and I together.......
I took this photo on Brandon's last official day at school. He has since completed all of his exams and now we play the waiting game for the results. Brandon was happy with his exams, but at the moment the exam results are the last thing he is thinking about as he is with his friends at Goolwa celebrating schoolies. I hope they have a great time.
Brandon and soem of his friends after the Graduation mass at St. Davids. It was sort of fitting that Gleeson held the graduation mass here as Brandon attended primary school at St. Davids.

He has one last function to attend and that is the formal graduation at the convention centre, I believe it will be a wonderful night.

Three in a row - a junior club record.
What a day it was - Grandfinal day 2010
This year it was a little different as we had a different team to play - Walkerville but luckily for us the result went the way it did in 2008 and 2009. The Under 13 reds at the Gullies had achieved junior club history by becoming the first team ever to win 3 in a row.
The boys played a great game and work well as a team and it was great that our 3 boys who came up from the white divison not only got to play finals for the first time this year they are also now premiership players.

It's Grandfianl time again
Hamish's team had a great win on Sunday and have now earn't a weeks rest as they are straight into the Grandfinal on the 12th.
Two othe Gullies teams have also made it straight into the Grandfinal, let's hope we are all at the same ground, it will be awesome if we are.

It's finals time.
Hamish's team has finished minor premiers this year, the boys are begining to become experienced for finals footy with two premierships in the previous two years. Five other junior Gullies teams have also made the finals this year. So it will be a big weekend for the club this weekend, hopefully we will have at least two of our teams playing at the same venue.
Brandon's 18's Gullies team lost their grandfinal yesterday and it was difficult for Brandon to sit on the bench and watch. Hopefully when we see the surgeon later on this week he will just advise physio and rest. He now has pre-season to look forward to. On the positive side he now has more time for his year 12 studies.

100 Games layout
Hamish recently played his 100th junior game for the Gullies. He shared the day with 3 of his team mates Jake, Matt and Cameron. It was a big game against Walkerville who has previously beaten us on Mother's day, but this time the result went our way and the boys were able to celebrate their 100th game in style.
I have used the sketch form Ingeborg's scrapbooking competitions, which is also a page maps sketch.

July updates
It's been a busy month so far. It started off with Taylor turning 16 and for her birthday I took her to Melbourne for a couple of days of retail therpy. We had a great time and got a lot of shopping in. On return from Melbourne Taylor ventured off to motor registration to get her L's and now she is wanting to drive any chance she gets.
Football season is coming to an end....well the minor round is. Brandon will play finals for Tea Tree Gully 18's and they need to win the first final to stay in the hunt. He has been playing well in recent weeks. He gave us a bit of a scare last Sunday as we feared he had fractured his jaw, but thankfully x-rays at this stage have ruled this out and it appears he has strained the ligaments on the left hand side of his jaw. He is only able to eat soft foods as it still is painful to chew. Hamish's team is sitting on top of the ladder and will definately play finals and should finish the minor round on top as they are 3 games clear of the two teams in second spot.
Taylor has commenced certificate 3 in retail through bakers delight and on completeion of this course the points she gaisn can go towards her 200 points required for the SACE.
Craig has returned to work after 3 1/2 months of long service leave....and no he did not complete all the jobs that he wanted to....but he did have a good rest from work.
Scrapping has been a bit on the back burner in the last couple of months. But I managed to complete all the challenges at the recent CC at Chook Scraps. The theme was Harry Potter.
This layout of Hamish was for challenge #3 which was a sketch designed by Lorraine. The photo was taken of Hamish when he played mini league earlier this year.
This layout was for challenge #2 and the criteria was
use a proper nun in the title (Harry Potter's name is always used in the title)
some stars to represent the magic in Harry Potter's books
some purple as it is often connected to magic

Challenge #4 was the card challenge and I choose to use the colours of Slytherin....using only green and silver

If you are after some inspiration for scrapping why not check out the non sketch challenges or the sketch challenges or you may like to check out the card challenge at Chook scraps.

Nearly 16
I seem to have neglected my blog in recent times....just not enought time in a day at the moment. It is also awhile since I have scrapped....hopefully this will resolve in the near future...
On Monday Taylor will celebrate her 16th birthday....where has that time gone....and she is eagerly looking forward to it as it also means she can get her L's....mcuh to her older brother's disgust she will now be driving him and her younger brother to their footy games....she's ken to go to footy now...
Just thought I would share a few of my layouts that have featured Taylor, and the final layout is off Brandon and his friends from his school formal. I thought they all scrubbed up very nicely.

ANZAC day football
Both boys got to play on ANZAC day for the first time. All teams honoured the men and women who have served our country with a minutes silence prior to the games. Hamish's team played Broadview and won by 109 points. Brandon's team played Athelstone and also had a win by 122 points. Brandon's opponent for the day was one of his Norwood team mates...

Round 2 masterchook 2010
For round two of masterchook we went on location to India and were given a picture to use as inspiration. The picture contained bowls of brightly coloured sands such as reds, yellows, pinks, orangess, greens etc. Round two only commenced on Friday and already there are some fantastic layouts in the gallery.
If you are unable to read my journalling it simply mentions that my Mum made this outfit for a fancy dress event that we attended. I personally can't remember it, but I believe it was held somewhere in Parndarna. The picture was taken in August 1970 so it was somewhere around my 4th birthday. I can remember that the toy dog I was holding was called Orange Dog.....such an original name....

A couple of layouts to share.
This layout is my entry for round 1 of masterchook at chook scraps.
The criteria for this round was no patterened paper, paint, circles, at least 6 colours and lots of shiny things.
Round 2 will be put up later on today, I am looking forward to seeing what this challenge will entail.
This layout was for challenge #2 of the cyber crop at chook scraps which was last weekend. I only managed to get this layout completed and the card challenge as I spent Saturday making a Gene Simmons costume for Brandon to wear to a S themed 18th...He owes me big time, if you click on his name it will take you to a picture of him all dressed up....
